The short version
The literal end of Kerning Party Quest. 8,000 HP wrapped in a bouncing blue slime crown. Beating him unlocks a bonus stage full of etc. drops and (if you're lucky) a Blue Mushroom Cap chair or Golden River. Everyone in the party gets EXP so this is where a lot of Maplers first hit level 30.
How to find them
Complete KPQ stages 1-5 with a party of 3-6 (levels 21-30). King Slime spawns automatically in the final stage after you place the crown on the pedestal. No solo access - PQ-only fight.

Strategy notes
Split roles: mages and clerics stay back and pump Magic Claw / Heal. Warriors and Chief Bandits (yes, Meso Explosion Bandits carry this fight in classic v83) go melee. Watch for the mini-slimes he spawns when hit - kill them fast so they don't overwhelm your healer. Cleric party bonus makes this trivial.
