Community tools
This guide covers the game itself. Rankings and live prices come from other community projects, so here is what each is good for, where its numbers come from, and how we use it. Checked October 25, 2026.
Look up a character
Opens the character's page on ClassicRank in a new tab. It tracks the Windia world only, and a character that hasn't been scanned yet won't have a page.
ClassicRank
Character rankings for the Windia world: by level, by job, by fame.
- Search any Windia character by name and see their overall, job, and fame rank.
- Players can claim their character through Discord and refresh it with "Update my character".
- Tracks roughly 179,000 characters (late October 2026) and refreshes about every minute.
- Where the numbers come from
- A scanner reads the game; entries from the scanner are marked verified, and entries built from player screenshots are not. It is not Nexon's official ranking, and it covers Windia only.
- What we do with it
- Link-out only: the lookup box below sends you to a character's ClassicRank page. We show no ranking data ourselves.
- Reuse and permission
- Their web pages ask bots to stay away, but they publish a free, documented JSON API for exactly this (30 requests a minute without a key). A live "top 10" widget on our site would be allowed technically; we would fetch it at build time with caching and credit them. Filtered lists (for example top Bandits) need a free read key from nxneko on Discord. We haven't asked yet.
MapleStory Watch Market
Free Market prices, built from the shops players actually open.
- Typical price range, median, cheapest listing, and 24-hour change for about 1,350 items.
- An eight-day chart of what items sold for against what sellers asked, plus the last 50 sales.
- Price alerts, and which shop room and channel to visit.
- Where the numbers come from
- Player-submitted. Players share their game window, the site reads shops they open, and the numbers build up from those sightings. That means thin samples for rarely traded items and no guarantee against made-up prices. Not Nexon data.
- What we do with it
- Link-out only: item pages for equipment and consumables get a "Check Free Market price" link that opens the item's market page. We copy none of their data.
- Reuse and permission
- They publish no API, terms, or reuse policy, so we treat everything as all rights reserved and only link. Showing live prices on our pages would need the developer's OK (in game: /whisper Goofball, or Discord: Objectivist). We haven't asked yet.
Meso Watch
Another Free Market price tracker, with published terms.
- Typical sale price, recent sales, and shop sightings per item.
- Where the numbers come from
- Built from sightings of player shops; see their site for details.
- What we do with it
- A hand-curated "hot items" card on the home page with a visible credit and a link to each item on their site.
- Reuse and permission
- Their terms (meso.watch/terms) forbid automated ingestion of prices but allow quoting a small number of prices with a visible credit and link, which is what that card does. We update it by hand.
NiaMeowDB
Community database of monsters, maps, items, and quests, with crowd-voted drops.
- Monster, map, item, NPC, and quest pages, with vote-scored drop reports.
- Interactive minimaps and a training-map EXP estimator.
- Where the numbers come from
- Game-client data plus community drop reports that readers vote on. The votes are confidence scores, not drop rates.
- What we do with it
- Each monster page credits and links its own NiaMeowDB page for the community drop list. Our stats come from the game-client data, not from NiaMeowDB.
- Reuse and permission
- Their reuse page (meowdb.com/reuse) welcomes individual facts with credit and asks for permission before anything bulk. We have not asked yet and should before relying on their drop lists at scale.
Not affiliated. These are independent projects. Their data
is theirs; we link to it and credit it. If an operator asks us to change
how we link, we will.
