Todd is the "here's how you kill things" NPC. He asks you to
defeat a specific tutorial mob (Tutorial Jr. Sentinels - which
exist ONLY for this tutorial and can't be found anywhere else
in the game) and report to Peter. The 10 EXP reward is nominal;
the value is teaching the attack keybind and target-cycling.
Tutorial Jr. Sentinels are set to die in a few hits from a
fresh level 1 with no weapon equipped, so this quest is
hand-holdingly safe. Fresh characters won't fail it. That's
the point.
Peter's follow-up after you report is where
the chain starts to earn real rewards - it's the entry to the
more substantive "learn to loot, learn to sell to NPCs" segment
of the tutorial.
