Iron Ingot is the tier above Bronze Ingot in Blacksmithing refined-ore hierarchy. Raw Iron Ore smelted into refined Iron Ingot form.

100 mesos vendor price, same as Bronze Ingot. The tier-value difference comes from what recipes each Ingot unlocks - Iron feeds higher-tier weapon and shield recipes than Bronze.

Where it comes from

  • Quest reward: Nella's Chris's Request (10307) awards 1 Iron Ingot + 1 Bronze Ingot guaranteed.
  • Blacksmithing self-craft: apprenticed Blacksmithing characters can smelt raw Iron Ore into Iron Ingots via mid-tier recipes.
  • Free Market: more expensive than Bronze Ingots in FM (usually 200-300 mesos each) because Iron Ore has fewer available drops per grinding hour.

What it makes

Higher-tier Blacksmithing recipes - Steel Shield tier upgrades, iron armors L15-20, better weapon frames. Combined with Bronze Ingots (base structure) + Iron Ingots (reinforcement) makes the standard mid-tier recipe pattern.
