At the Dungeon Entrance, I met Luke, the guard. He told me
that he wanted to make a nourishing snack for his mother
and asked me to hunt 20 Jr. Neckis and 20 Stirges and
bring back the required materials.
Luke's quest is the first gem grab-bag
in Victoria Island quest progression. You're guaranteed
one of 8 gems, all with distinct FM values and use cases.

Which gem is best? Depends on your
needs:
Diamond is the highest-FM-value
gem and the input for two flagship L27+ quest chains.
Best to roll.
Garnet is second-best - it's the
Estelle prerequisite, so if you haven't done that chain
yet, a Garnet skips your grinding step.
The other 6 gems are effectively
interchangeable for FM sale (~2,000-5,000 mesos each
depending on server prices).

(accessed via the same entrance Luke guards). L20
snake-family mob.
Stirges: Henesys Dungeon deeper
section. L21 flying mob - can be annoying for melee
classes without a jump attack.
Re-runnable? The datamine doesn't
explicitly flag Luke's quest as repeatable. If it IS,
re-rolling for a Diamond specifically becomes a common
L19-25 farming activity. Pending live verification.
