Work Gloves

Work Gloves are the guaranteed reward from Andre's Request (Nella series step 3, L10). At level 10, +6 Weapon Defense + +1 Critical Rate is a meaningful upgrade over the naked-hands baseline most new characters are running.

Why Critical Rate matters at L10: Critical Rate is a stat that most L10-30 gear doesn't offer. Even +1% means one extra crit per 100 hits - free damage compounding over every training session. Work Gloves are one of the earliest sources of this stat.

Why 5 upgrade slots matters: Gloves is a scroll-friendly slot. The endgame gloves-scrolling pipeline (unlocked at L36 via Cursed Doll chain) awards Gloves Attack Scroll (Intermediate) at +2 Weapon Attack per successful scroll. Work Gloves at 5 slots can hold 5 attempts. Even at 60% success rate, expect 2-3 successful scrolls = +4-6 WATT compounding on every attack.

Who this is for: everyone. Work Gloves are marked "All" job requirement, so any base class or advanced class can wear them. The +1 CRT benefits all damage classes; the Weapon Defense is universally useful.

How to acquire:

• Andre's Request (guaranteed): the Nella series step 3 hands one out. This is the standard path.
• Vendor purchase: some Victoria Island general shops stock Work Gloves for 1,200 mesos.
• Mob drops: Rare drops from various mid-level mobs.
