Something happened to the tribespeople of Perion. Ayan (L11 Andre's Request NPC) is now leading Alligator extermination missions. Rewards: RANDOM Greater Attack Scroll pool + RANDOM Cape Stat Scroll pool.
I heard something happened to the tribespeople of Perion.
I should go ask Ayan about this.
I spoke with Ayan in Perion. A few days ago, a group of
tribespeople went missing in the swamp. Alligators have
been overrunning the area. Ayan is coordinating the
extermination hunt.

RANDOM Cape Stat Scroll: Intermediate (STR/DEX/INT/LUK) - step 2RANDOM 1-of-4 pool: Cape STR Scroll Intermediate (2041009), Cape DEX Scroll Intermediate (2041013), Cape INT Scroll Intermediate (2041017), Cape LUK Scroll Intermediate (2041021). All 60% success / +2 primary stat. Perfect for scrolling your Icarus Cape from the concurrent Wing the Fairy chain.
Liven's take
Ayan's Alligator Hunt is a character
continuation from L11. She first appeared in
Andre's Request as
a peripheral Perion NPC. Now at L48, she's leading a
town-defense operation against Alligator incursions.
Character growth on both sides.
The 2 quests
10412 - Taking Out the Alligators 1.
Ayan explains the missing tribespeople situation.
First extermination wave. Rewards random Greater
Attack Scroll from the 14-weapon pool.
10413 - Taking Out the Alligators 2.
Ayan is desperate. Follow-up hunt reveals worse-than-
expected mob numbers. Rewards random Cape Stat
Scroll (Intermediate).
Cross-chain scroll strategy
Ayan's step 2 (Cape Stat Scroll) pairs
perfectly with
Icarus's
Flying Medicine chain - which rewards an Icarus Cape
at L46. Timing:
L46: Complete Icarus chain -> get an Icarus Cape
L48: Complete Ayan chain -> get a Cape Stat Scroll
matching your class
Result: scrolled Icarus Cape at L48-50 (perfect
timing for L50 Manji-Chrishrama Hero's Gladius
chain)
The Perion Tribes reveal
Ayan's mention of "the tribespeople of Perion" is a
worldbuilding drop. Perion is Classic MapleStory's
Warrior town, and its citizens have consistently been
described as tribal / clan-based (see Manji, Blackbull,
Aya). Alligators overrunning the swamp is a real
external threat to Perion's cultural continuity - not
just a fetch-quest excuse.
Where the Alligators are
Alligators (Ligators, technically) live in the Perion
swamp / Kerning subway zone (they migrate between the
two). At L48 you're comfortably over-leveled - expect
fast kills and low potion consumption.
