In-game text

Each of the 6 Classic World crafting masters is finally ready to acknowledge your apprenticeship. Complete their final L25 test to earn their profession's Crafting Catalyst - the specialized recipe input for master-tier crafting. This is the third and final tier of the crafting apprentice arc: L10 (apprenticeship start) -> L15 (Kit reward) -> L25 (Catalyst reward).

Rewards

Liven's take

The Catalyst reward is the reveal of what each profession actually MAKES. Previous sprints documented the profession names; this quest series confirms what recipes each unlocks.

The 4 Catalyst types (5 shared across 6 professions)

CatalystIDProfessions using it
Armor Crafting Catalyst4130002 Blacksmithing + Tailoring + Leatherworking (3-way share)
1H Weapon Crafting Catalyst4130000 Weaponcrafting
2H Weapon Crafting Catalyst4130001 Woodcrafting
Scroll Crafting Catalyst 4130003 Arcforging - CoT-EXCLUSIVE

The Arcforging = Scroll Crafting reveal

Previously we speculated Arcforging might be gem enchantment, weapon enhancement, or scroll crafting. This graduation quest CONFIRMS: Arcforging = scroll crafting. Chrishrama's Catalyst is specifically the Scroll Crafting Catalyst (4130003) - no other profession gets this Catalyst, no other Catalyst covers scrolls.

Implications:

  • Attack scrolls, defense scrolls, magic attack scrolls, overall armor scrolls - all likely Arcforging recipes.
  • Sleepywood is the endgame crafting town because it hosts the highest-value crafting discipline.
  • Chrishrama's L25 quest is arguably the highest-value crafting graduation in the game - the only way to unlock scroll production.
  • The Sabitrama Star Rock quest nearby now makes sense - Star Rock is likely a scroll crafting input.

The 3-tier arc summary

Now that we have the full picture:

  1. L10 apprentice quest (80008-80023): establishes apprenticeship with your chosen master.
  2. L15 'in Need of Help' quest (80010- 80025): awards Kit (15-min XP boost consumable).
  3. L25 graduation quest (80009-80024, THIS series): awards Catalyst (recipe unlock material).

Full arc: 3 quests per master x 6 masters = 18 quests documenting the complete Classic World crafting system. All three tiers now have canonical articles.

Which profession to graduate?

Depends on your goal:

  • Self-sufficient combat class: match profession to class (Warrior -> Blacksmithing, Bowman -> Woodcrafting, etc.).
  • Free Market flipper: Arcforging (Chrishrama). Scrolls have the highest FM value per item - if you can craft +2 Weapon Attack scrolls, you're making mesos hand over fist.
  • Completionist: the datamine doesn't restrict multi-professioning. Try all 6 if the game allows.
